Metro Incident – A student was injured after jumping onto the metro tracks at Dwarka Sector-14 Metro Station in Delhi on Friday, according to police officials. The incident triggered concern among commuters and authorities, highlighting growing pressure faced by students during examination periods. The injured student was immediately taken for medical treatment and is currently recovering.

Student Jumped onto Track Amid Examination Stress
Police officials said the incident took place at Dwarka Sector-14 Metro Station when the student suddenly jumped onto the metro track. Security personnel and station staff responded quickly after noticing the situation and helped pull her to safety.
Following the incident, the student was rushed to the emergency ward of Indira Gandhi Hospital in Dwarka. Medical staff began treatment immediately after her arrival at the hospital.
Injuries Reported but Condition Stable
Doctors attending to the student confirmed that she sustained injuries to both knees during the fall onto the tracks. While the injuries required medical attention, officials said her condition was stable.
Authorities recorded the student’s statement after she was admitted to the hospital. During questioning, she reportedly told police that she had been experiencing severe stress related to her board examinations and had been feeling depressed in recent weeks.
Police officials stated that the student is currently receiving treatment and further details will be reviewed once her condition improves.

Separate Case: Woman Found Dead in North Delhi Hotel
In another incident reported the same day, a 25-year-old woman was found dead inside a hotel room in North Delhi’s Lahori Gate area during the night between March 11 and March 12.
According to Delhi Police, the hotel staff at Prince Hotel located near the SPM T-point on Church Mission Road alerted local beat officers around 12:30 am. Staff members reported that Room No. 205 had been locked from the inside and the guest was not responding despite repeated attempts to contact her.
Police Forced Door Open After No Response
Police personnel quickly arrived at the hotel after receiving the information. When there was still no response from inside the room, officers, along with hotel staff, forced open the door.
Upon entering the room, police discovered a woman lying on the bed partially covered with a blanket. Blood stains were visible on the bed, prompting officials to secure the area and initiate further investigation.
Crime Team and Forensic Experts Examine Scene
After the discovery, the crime team and forensic experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory were called to the scene. Senior police officers also reached the hotel to oversee the inspection.
Investigators reported that a significant amount of blood was present on the bed, while blood-stained clothes were also found nearby. The forensic team carefully collected samples and other evidence from the room to assist in determining the cause of death.
Victim Identified, Family Informed
Police later identified the deceased as a 25-year-old woman who lived in Maujpur in Delhi. Authorities informed her parents about the incident, and family members later arrived at the location.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing and forensic findings will play an important role in establishing the exact circumstances surrounding the death.
