TradeFair – Global Food and Hospitality Leaders Gather for AAHAR 2026 Opening in Delhi
TradeFair – Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal is set to inaugurate the 40th edition of AAHAR 2026 on Tuesday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, marking the start of one of the world’s major business platforms dedicated to the food and hospitality industry. The international trade fair will run for five days, from March 10 to March 14, bringing together companies, buyers, and industry professionals from across India and many other countries.

Industry Gathering at a Major Global Trade Platform
AAHAR has steadily developed into a prominent meeting point for businesses involved in food production, hospitality services, and related industries. Organisers expect strong participation from both domestic and international stakeholders, including manufacturers, suppliers, hospitality groups, and technology providers.
The event is jointly organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation and the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. Over the years, the exhibition has become an important venue where companies present new products, discover emerging trends, and build commercial partnerships across markets.
Large-Scale Participation from Exhibitors
This year’s exhibition will feature around 1,800 exhibitors representing a wide range of sectors within the food and hospitality ecosystem. Participants include companies dealing in processed foods, rice, seafood, non-vegetarian products, food ingredients, kitchen machinery, hotel equipment, and small and medium food enterprises.
Organisers have designed the exhibition to help businesses showcase innovations and connect with buyers and distributors. The fair provides an opportunity for companies to strengthen supply chains and explore expansion opportunities both within India and internationally.
International Presence Expands Event Reach
AAHAR 2026 will also see a significant international presence, with approximately 155 exhibitors from 17 countries expected to take part. Italy has been selected as the partner country for this year’s edition, highlighting growing collaboration between Indian and European food industries.
The exhibition will be spread across nearly 115,000 square metres at Bharat Mandapam, offering dedicated spaces for domestic companies, international participants, and specialised industry segments. The global participation reflects increasing interest in India’s growing food processing and hospitality sectors.
Support from Industry Associations
Several prominent industry organisations have extended support to the event, reinforcing its importance for the sector. These include the All India Food Processors Association, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority, the Forum of Indian Food Importers, and the Hotel and Restaurant Equipment Manufacturers Association of India.
Such collaborations help ensure that the exhibition addresses current industry priorities, including food exports, supply chain development, hospitality infrastructure, and technology adoption.
Specialised Pavilions and Industry Activities
The exhibition will feature multiple themed pavilions designed to highlight different segments of the industry. Among them are the APEDA Pavilion, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries Pavilion, the Foreign Participation Pavilion, the ICMA Pavilion, and the FIFI Pavilion.
In addition to product displays, the event will host several industry-focused programs. These include the Hospitality Challenge and Culinary Art India 2026, where professionals from the hospitality sector will compete and demonstrate their expertise.
Culinary Competitions Highlight Global Cuisine
A major attraction during the fair will be the MasterChef competition scheduled at Hall No. 1. Culinary professionals and aspiring chefs will showcase their cooking skills while presenting dishes inspired by international cuisines.
The competition is expected to draw attention from both hospitality professionals and visitors interested in culinary innovation. It will also offer a glimpse into evolving food trends and techniques shaping modern gastronomy.
Knowledge Exchange and Industry Dialogue
Beyond exhibitions and competitions, the five-day event will host seminars, discussions, and interactive sessions focused on industry development. These forums are designed to encourage knowledge sharing, promote collaboration, and explore new opportunities in food processing and hospitality services.
The previous edition of AAHAR recorded participation from more than 1,700 exhibitors and attracted over 100,000 visitors, underlining the event’s growing influence within the global food trade community. With expanded participation this year, AAHAR 2026 is expected to further strengthen its position as a key platform for business networking and industry growth.
