Mumbai Fire: Three People Die When a Fire Starts at a Goregaon Home

Mumbai Fire: A residential building in Bhagat Singh Nagar in Goregaon West caught fire early on Friday, killing three people, including a lady and a little kid.

Around 3:06 a.m., a fire was reported in a ground-plus-one-story structure next to Janata Stores on Rajaram Lane. The Mumbai Fire Brigade reports that the fire was limited to the victims’ clothing on the first level, household objects on the ground floor, and electrical wires.

Before firemen came, locals tried to put out the fire with water buckets. After turning off the electrical, firefighters eventually put out the fire. Officials said that the fire was contained at 3:16 a.m.

Three persons were saved from the building by firefighters, who then transported them in a police van and a private car to Trauma Care Hospital. According to authorities, doctors pronounced all three of them dead upon arrival.

Harshada Pawaskar, 19, Kushal Pawaskar, 12, and Sanjog Pawaskar, 48, were identified as the dead. According to hospital officials, all three were burned.
