New Year: Today in Delhi, there are limitations at India Gate and a ban on cars entering CP after 7 p.m

New Year: In order to avoid traffic bottlenecks and enable smooth festivities on New Year’s Eve, the Delhi Traffic Police will prohibit any vehicle movement in the inner, middle, or outer circle of Connaught Place starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, according to an official.

According to the traffic police, cars could not be permitted to pass through C-Hexagon on Wednesday in the vicinity of India Gate if there is a lot of pedestrian traffic.

In a same vein, the traffic police have prepared extra measures to handle the influx of worshippers who will be rushing to the Shri Mata Jhandewalan Mandir on Wednesday and the first day of the New Year. Rani Jhansi Road should be avoided by commuters during rush hour.

The traffic police issued a statement on Tuesday regarding traffic management in the Connaught Place area, stating that starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, “No vehicle shall be permitted to proceed towards Connaught Place beyond (i) Round About (R/A) Mandi House (ii) R/A Bengali Market (iii) North foot of Ranjit Singh Flyover (iv) Minto Road – Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg crossing (v) Chelmsford Road near Munje Chitragupta Marg (vii) G.K. Ashram Marg (viii) G.P.O., New Delhi (viii) Patel Chowk (ix) Kasturba Gandhi Road – Ferozeshah Road Crossing (xi) Patel Chowk

According to the traffic police, “There is a shortage of parking space at India Gate, so visitors are advised to use public transport,” for New Year’s celebrations going to India Gate. The general public and drivers are advised to avoid Bhairon Road/Mathura Road between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Pragati Maidan due to the anticipated massive gathering at Delhi Zoo, which would cause traffic on Mathura Road.To guarantee a safe trip, commuters are asked to cooperate by using public transportation as much as possible and avoiding or avoiding the aforementioned highways. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in helping to reduce traffic during the aforementioned time frame. The traffic police encouraged anybody heading to ISBT, railroad stations, or airports to properly plan their trip and allow enough time for it.

The traffic police have recommended other routes for approaching New Delhi Railway Station on Wednesday after 7 p.m., even though the limitations may not have an effect on traffic flow towards the Old Railway Station. “Access to New Delhi Railway Station (From South)” was the message. i) Mandir Marg, Rani Jhansi Road, R/A Jhande Walan, Ram Manohar Lohiya Park Street, and Desh Bandhu Gupta Road. ii) R/A Jhande Walan-R/A GPO-Kali Bari Marg-Mandir Marg-Rani Jhansi Road-Desh Bandhu Gupta Road. iii) Windsor Place, Ferozeshah Road, Mandi House, “W” Point, “A” Point, DDU Marg, and Bhav Bhuti Marg. iv) It is forbidden to enter from Connaught Place on Chelmsford Road. v) Drivers are permitted to use the Ajmeri Gate side’s Second Entry Gate. They may get to the station from Ajmeri Gate – J.L.N. Marg side via B.S.Z. Marg – Delhi Gate – J.L.N. Marg or Pahar Ganj – Shiela Cinema.
