In addition, the former Bihar minister, who was defeated in this year’s assembly elections for the Mahua assembly seat, wrote to Home Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary requesting more protection.

Choudhary said, “Yes, I have received his letter,” in an interview with PTI on Saturday. The issue is being investigated.

According to SHO Gautam Kumar of the Sachivalay police station, Yadav’s statement led to the recent filing of a formal complaint (FIR), and the case is now under investigation.

In his complaint, Yadav, the older son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, said that when Renu was named the JJD national spokesman, he began working against the party’s principles.

Additionally, Yadav said that Renu promised employment and other favors to party members and others in order to get money. On December 14, the party expelled Renu as a result.

In his police complaint, the former minister also claimed that Renu began harassing him and threatening to kill him on social media after his removal.

Renu was unreachable after many efforts.

A day after Tej Pratap allegedly admitted to being “in a relationship” with Anushka, Lalu Prasad removed him from the RJD for six years on May 25. Later on, however, he removed the Facebook post, claiming that his profile had been “hacked.”

Tej Pratap was disowned by Lalu Prasad as well because of his “irresponsible behaviour.”

Tej Pratap had claimed that there was a “conspiracy” to distance himself from his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav a few days after he was kicked out of RJD. He had expressed his feelings in a few postings on his X account, accusing ‘Jaichand’—a metaphor for traitors—of being to blame for the catastrophe.
