Mumbai Crime: A lover was arrested for using pornographic images in Jogeshwari to blackmail a married woman
Mumbai Crime: In the Jogeshwari neighborhood, a married woman’s boyfriend is accused of blackmailing and defaming her by sending pornographic images and videos. The Meghwadi police have filed a case against Aslam Sheikh, the woman’s putative boyfriend, in accordance with certain provisions of the Information Technology Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), in response to her complaint. According to the police, further investigation is being conducted.
The complainant, 39, her husband, and daughter reside in Jogeshwari. They have periodic visits from her mother-in-law, who lives in Sindhudurg. The woman’s spouse manages sales for a private business in Andheri.
The lawsuit claims that while attending a college in Kalyan in 2012, the lady initially got to know Aslam Sheikh. She ran into him again at a market around 10 years later, and they kept in touch after exchanging cellphone numbers. Their friendship eventually turned into a loving partnership.
Aslam reportedly gave her financial support for her mother’s cancer treatment at this time. But around three years ago, the wife made the decision to cut off all communication with him. He reportedly mistreated her after she told him about her choice and threatened to disclose her husband their photos so that their connection would be revealed.
The complainant further claimed that Aslam had sought pornographic images and films from her on many occasions. She reportedly sent him a pornographic picture and video in June 2025 out of fear that he would tell her spouse about their connection.
Aslam reportedly mistreated and attacked her after she informed him she didn’t want to keep seeing him and requested him to remove all of her pictures and videos. Additionally, she said that he sent texts to her mother-in-law and husband in which he accused her of having several sexual encounters and made disparaging remarks about her reputation. He reportedly emailed her spouse the pornographic pictures and videos a few days later.
Once the husband saw the pictures and videos, they were removed, and then the wife told him the whole story. According to the complaint, Aslam persisted in intimidating her by threatening to spread false information about her if she didn’t continue their connection.
The lady went to the Meghwadi police and filed a complaint because she was upset about the ongoing harassment and blackmail. As a result, police filed a complaint against Aslam Sheikh in accordance with the relevant provisions of the IT Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The issue is being looked upon, according to the police.
