Official Announcement and Timeframe

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Kamlesh Dixit, the diversion system will come into force from 11:00 pm on Tuesday and will remain active until the programme concludes on Wednesday. During this period, commuters are advised to avoid restricted routes and use alternative roads as suggested by traffic authorities. Citizens facing any traffic-related inconvenience can seek assistance through the traffic control helpline number 9454405155.

Restrictions on Heavy and Commercial Vehicles Within the City

To manage congestion near the event venue, the movement of heavy, large, and commercial vehicles will be restricted on several key routes. Vehicles approaching from Malihabad crossroads and Mujasa T-junction will not be permitted to move towards Bajnagar Kisan Path or Chhandoiya. Instead, these vehicles must divert via Zero Point Mohaan Road.

Similarly, vehicles will not be allowed to move from the Bajnagar Kisan Path underpass towards the Chhandoiya Bypass T-junction. The recommended alternative in this case is the Kisan Path. From the Kasmandi underpass near Humsafar Lawn, heavy vehicles will also be restricted from proceeding towards Andhe ki Chowki T-junction and must follow the Kisan Path route.

Diversions Near the Event Venue

Several diversions have been planned around the immediate vicinity of the event location. Vehicles approaching from Chhandoiya Bypass T-junction will not be allowed to head towards the event venue or Bhitauli T-junction. Alternative routes include Andhe ki Chowki T-junction through Bajnagar Kisan Path underpass or via Dubagga T-junction.

From Tikonia T-junction, heavy vehicles will be stopped from moving towards Dubagga or Chhandoiya Bypass. These vehicles are advised to use Nahar T-junction, Mohaan Road, Khushhalganj market, and then proceed through the Khushhalganj Kisan Path underpass.

Additional Urban Traffic Restrictions

Vehicles from Bhitauli T-junction will not be allowed to move towards the event venue or Chhandoiya Bypass. They should instead travel via Sairpur T-junction, Asti Crossing, Bakshi Ka Talab, and Indaurabagh Kisan Path underpass, or alternatively use the Engineering College crossroads.

From Naya Pakkapul and Kudiyaghat T-junctions, large and commercial vehicles will be restricted from moving towards the event venue or Ghaila T-junction. These vehicles must take the route via Rumi Gate, Koneshwar crossroads, Balaganj, and Dubagga T-junction.

No vehicles will be permitted to travel from Dubagga T-junction towards Chhandoiya or Sitapur Bypass, and traffic must be diverted through Tikonia T-junction. Likewise, vehicles from Nahar Pul T-junction will not be allowed towards Budheshwar and should use Zero Point or the Kisan Path.

Traffic Management on City Outskirts

Special arrangements have also been made for vehicles traveling through or around Lucknow. Heavy vehicles moving from Kanpur towards eastern Uttar Pradesh districts such as Ambedkarnagar, Gorakhpur, Ballia, and Azamgarh are advised to use the Kanpur–Fatehpur–Lalganj–Bachhrawan–Haidergarh route and continue via the Purvanchal Expressway.

Vehicles from Unnao heading towards similar destinations can either travel through Dahi Chowki via Purwa and Maurawan to Haidergarh or take the Kanpur–Unnao–Bighapur–Lalganj route before joining the Purvanchal Expressway.

Alternative Routes for Other Districts

Traffic from Sitapur towards Gonda, Balrampur, and eastern districts should divert via Chahlari and Bahraich. Buses and heavy vehicles from Hardoi are advised to move through Baghauli, Bangarmau, Unnao, and Bachhrawan before accessing the Purvanchal Expressway.

Vehicles coming from Sultanpur Road and Raebareli Road towards eastern districts should also use the Haidergarh route to connect with the Purvanchal Expressway. Meanwhile, heavy vehicles from Barabanki Road heading towards Lucknow, Kanpur, Delhi, or western Uttar Pradesh should divert via Haidergarh, Bachhrawan, Lalganj, Fatehpur, and Sitapur.

Advisory for Commuters

The traffic police have appealed to the public for cooperation and patience during the diversion period. Commuters are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance, follow official instructions, and avoid restricted zones wherever possible. These measures are being implemented to ensure safety, security, and smooth conduct of the high-profile inauguration event.
