AI: Registration for the “Indian National AI Olympiad 2026” is now available to develop potential at the school level

AI: The Association for Computing Machinery’s Indian branch, ACM India, announced on Saturday the start of the “Indian National AI Olympiad 2026,” a national program to find and develop outstanding AI potential at the school level.

Indian students enrolled in Classes IX through XII may register for the INAIO 2026 exam till December 31, 2025. The test will be administered online on January 18, 2026.

According to a statement from ACM India, test results will allow applicants born after August 2, 2006, qualify for IOAI 2026 in Abu Dhabi from August 2–8, 2026.

The International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) will be accessible via the Indian National AI Olympiad, which will be administered by HireMee, an assessment technology platform and proctored live.

It also said that IOAI would provide students with world-class academic opportunities, sophisticated innovation skills, and exposure to the globe.

Direct entrance into Stage 2 of INAIO would be granted to the winners of related Olympiads such Bebras, PLO (Panini Linguistics Olympiad), INOI (Indian National Olympiad in Informatics), and INMO (Indian National Mathematical Olympiad).

With the Olympiad choosing students to represent India at IOAI, INAIO’s multi-stage structured assessment process aims to improve conceptual knowledge of machine learning and foster practical modeling skills.

International recognition, possible scholarships from prestigious colleges, and improved further education routes in internationally recognized universities are among the main advantages, according to the statement.

According to the release, all competitors will get digital certificates, and the top three national rankers will also receive enticing prizes.

It also said that HireMee’s Career Navigation Assessment, valued at Rs 1,599, would be accessible to the first 500 program participants.

In addition to cybersecurity being transformed by AI-driven threats, 2026 is expected to see a sharp increase in demand for AI and machine learning engineers, data scientists, and AI governance professionals.

According to a recent survey, 74% of Indian business executives listed artificial intelligence (AI) as one of their top three technology adoption options.
