According to The Times, Trump had longtime acquainted with financier Jeffrey Epstein, and his first denial of access to government documents pertaining to Epstein’s investigations raised questions about whether Trump was mentioned in those documents. His identity can be found in the papers pertaining to Epstein, as his associates have already revealed.

The Times first examined the highly redacted papers on Friday. Among the ones that were evident were sporadic mentions or pictures of Trump. The majority of the images, which included pictures of him and Melania Trump with Epstein and Epstein’s longterm partner Ghislaine Maxwell, were previously available to the public. Epstein’s flight records, contact book, and a message book where his staff informed him of missed calls all had written allusions to Trump. Those materials were previously available to the public.

Additionally, Trump’s name appears in transcripts of interviews with Maxwell that were previously made public and re-released on Friday by the Justice Department.

One of Epstein’s criminal defense attorneys, Alan Dershowitz, claimed to have seen Trump at Epstein’s house in a 2016 deposition. He gave no details.

Trump often minimizes his affiliation with Epstein, claiming, for example, that he severed his links with Epstein in the early 2000s when Epstein hired one of his staff members from his Florida Mar-a-Lago home.

In sharp contrast to allusions to former President Bill Clinton, there are very few mentions of Trump. Numerous images of Clinton in a variety of settings, including a hot tub, were made public by the Justice Department.

According to the New York Times, top Justice Department official Todd Blanche stated on Friday that the administration would keep releasing a significant number of Epstein documents in the coming weeks after those files had been examined to remove any mention of potential victims of the convicted sex offender.
