UP Health Department: More than 200 nurses have received 12-day training in breast and cervical cancer detection from the UP Health Department
UP Health Department: A 12-day training program on identifying breast and cervical cancer in women has been introduced by the UP Health Department for nurses. For this reason, newly hired nurses are assigned to women’s hospitals and get specialized training.

Under this initiative, more than 200 nurses have received training at the District Joint Hospital in Noida, the State Health Institute in Lucknow, and the Regional Health Training Institutes in Jhansi and Varanasi.
The most prevalent malignancies in women are breast and cervical cancer. To guarantee that these tumors may be detected in their early stages, extra efforts are being made to educate nurses in addition to physicians.
In addition to patient care, contractual and regular nurses are learning about breast and cervical cancer screening throughout the 12-day special training. Additionally, a 12-day special training is being provided to newly appointed ANMs so that they may educate women about early-stage cancer screening techniques.
Experts estimate that over 90,000 people in India lose their lives to breast cancer each year. 28.2% of female malignancies are breast cancers. In the meanwhile, 80,000 women lose their lives to cervical cancer every year, and 1,27,000 new cases are recorded.
