Union Minister and JDU MP Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh) stepped in and ran the campaign for Anant Singh when the former MLA and JDU candidate was imprisoned in the middle of the Dularchand Yadav murder case.

“Everyone should fight the election as Anant Singh,” Lalan Singh said at a recent rally, urging people to back Anant Singh. Now that dad is incarcerated, I have more responsibilities and am in charge of Mokama.”

Lalan Singh implied a plot against Anant Singh and said that his imprisonment was evidence of Nitish Kumar’s dedication to good administration. He emphasized that when investigations are finished, the truth will come to light.

In order to maintain political friendship, Lalan Singh steps in.
In Mokama politics, Lalan Singh and Anant Singh have a close bond. When Anant Singh, who was on parole, supported Lalan Singh, who was having difficulties in the Munger seat during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, this link was made clear. Political analysts claim that Lalan Singh’s victory and subsequent appointment as a central government minister were made possible by this backing.

According to political analysts, Lalan Singh is returning the favor by aggressively supporting Anant Singh and hosting public gatherings starting on Monday.

Surajbhan Singh vs. Lallan Singh In Mokama
Anant Singh and Veena Devi, the RJD candidate, seem to be the front-runners in Mokama. Political analysts, however, believe that Lalan Singh and Surajbhan Singh are engaged in the actual conflict. Lalan Singh is leading his campaign now that Anant Singh is incarcerated, and Surajbhan Singh, Veena Devi’s husband, is ardently advocating for her. For a fierce campaign, both leaders are planning and organizing their forces.

Lalan Singh was defeated by Surajbhan Singh. In Mokama
Lallan Singh has not had a good record against Surajbhan Singh. Lallan Singh was the JDU candidate for the Munger constituency in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, whereas Veena Devi, the wife of Surajbhan Singh, ran on a LJP ticket.

Surajbhan Singh directly spearheaded Veena Devi’s campaign. Due in significant part to Surajbhan Singh’s campaign tactics, Lallan Singh received 2,43,827 votes in the 2014 general elections but lost to LJP candidate Veena Devi, who received 3,52,911 votes.

Members of the Bhumihar clan Anant Singh, Surajbhan Singh, and Lalan Singh are well-connected to the Mokama assembly seat and the Munger Lok Sabha district. Their enmity was heightened when Anant Singh accused Surajbhan Singh of participation in the Dularchand Yadav murder case. Bhumihar leaders gain a prominent position in state politics, particularly in their community, when they win in this seat.

Lalan Singh and Surajbhan Singh are once again indirectly positioned against one another as the 2025 assembly elections get near. Everyone is anxiously awaiting the conclusion of this crucial election due to the political dynamics in Mokama.
