Journey from Uttarakhand to Uttar Pradesh Leadership
Yogi Adityanath was born on June 5, 1972, in Panchur village of Uttarakhand’s Pauri Garhwal district. He became associated with the Nath tradition at a young age and later became a disciple of Mahant Avaidyanath. Over the years, he emerged as a prominent religious and political figure and eventually succeeded his mentor as the head of the Gorakhnath Math.
Since assuming office as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath has remained one of the most prominent leaders within the BJP.
