Formation and Expansion of Uttarakhand Mahaparishad Women’s Wing Concluded Pushpa Vaishnav Elected Women’s President
The formation and expansion of the Women’s Wing of Uttarakhand Mahaparishad was successfully completed on Sunday, with the participation of several women members of the executive committee. During the meeting, Hira Bisht, the wife of late Mohan Singh Bisht, was unanimously nominated as the Chief Patron, while Dr. Karuna Pandey was nominated as Patron.
Under the leadership of Pushpa Vaishnav, the Uttarakhand Mahaparishad Women’s Wing has been making continuous progress. With the cooperation of all members, the Women’s Wing has been doing commendable work in the cultural and social fields. Under her leadership, the Women’s Wing has been successfully organizing various daytime competitions for children during the Uttarakhand Festival.
Since 2012, during two consecutive tenures, Pushpa Vaishnav has taken several welfare-oriented decisions for the Women’s Wing of Uttarakhand Mahaparishad. She also played an important role in promoting cultural programs in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. In recognition of her dedicated service and leadership, the entire Women’s Wing unanimously re-elected Pushpa Vaishnav as President for the third consecutive term.
The announcement of her re-election was made by Uttarakhand Mahaparishad Convenor, Mr. Diwan Singh Adhikari, and President Mr. Harish Chandra Pant congratulated the entire Women’s Executive Committee and extended his blessings.
In the newly formed executive body, Sunita Kanwal was elected Senior Vice President. Hema, Sita, Kamla, Meena, Renu, and Rajeshwari were elected as Vice Presidents. Sunita Rawat was elected General Secretary, Pushpa Gailakoti as Secretary, and Trilochani Rawat and Laxmi Joshi as Joint Secretaries.
Sunita Goswami, Hema Dobriyal, and Hema Kandpal were appointed as Public Relations Secretaries.
Manju, Divya, Kalpana, Sushila, Deepa, Savita, Sonia, Renu, Hema, and Rekha were elected as new members.
