The visit focused on evaluating infrastructure upgrades, sanitation measures, and long-term waste management planning in key localities.
Inspection of Waste Management Proposal
During the visit, the Commissioner examined the Tajpur Pahadi area in Badarpur to assess the potential for establishing a new waste management facility. Officials briefed him on the feasibility of the project, which is expected to enhance the city’s capacity to handle solid waste more efficiently. The proposed facility aims to address growing waste disposal challenges while improving environmental conditions in nearby neighborhoods.
Khirwar emphasized the importance of adopting sustainable and practical solutions to manage increasing waste volumes. He noted that a well-planned facility could significantly strengthen the existing waste handling system and reduce pressure on current infrastructure.
Focus on Drain Cleaning and Flood Prevention

In Defence Colony, Khirwar inspected an ongoing Dense Carpet Road project being executed under the CMDF scheme. The project is part of broader efforts to improve road quality and ensure safer, smoother travel for residents.
During the inspection, he instructed engineers and contractors to maintain high construction standards and adhere to the approved schedule. He pointed out that timely completion, combined with durable workmanship, is essential to avoid repeated repairs and inconvenience to the public.
