Traffic Advisory – Delhi Police Announces Diversions Near Guruji Ashram Event
Traffic Advisory – Delhi commuters have been advised to plan travel carefully as special traffic arrangements are in force for the Guruji birthday celebration at Guruji Ashram in the Bhatti Mines area. Delhi Traffic Police said a large gathering of devotees is expected, and movement around the venue may remain slow until late on July 7.

Bhatti Mines Traffic Updates –
The traffic restrictions began from midnight on July 6 and are scheduled to continue until midnight on July 7. Police expect the highest pressure on roads connecting Chhattarpur, Bhatti Mines, Gadaipur and the Guruji Ashram complex.
Motorists have been asked to avoid SSN Marg, also known as Chhattarpur Road, Bhatti Mines Road, the Gadaipur Police Post stretch and nearby roads leading to the ashram. Alternative routes should be used wherever possible to reduce congestion in the area.
Heavy Vehicle Diversions
Delhi Traffic Police has issued separate diversion instructions for heavy vehicles approaching the Bhatti Mines area. Trucks and other large vehicles travelling from the Mandi-Dera border towards Guruji Ashram will not be permitted to turn right at Gadaipur Police Post.
Instead, these vehicles will be directed straight towards Mehrauli-Gurugram Road. Heavy vehicles arriving from the Bhatti Mines side will be diverted through Bandh Road, Jonapur and Mehrauli Road.
The restrictions are intended to keep roads around the ashram clear for devotees, local residents and emergency services during the celebrations. Police personnel are expected to remain deployed at key junctions to guide motorists and manage the increased traffic volume.
Advice for Devotees and Commuters
Devotees attending the celebration have been encouraged to arrive early in the morning to avoid the busiest hours. Visitors are also likely to face delays while entering or leaving the Bhatti Mines area, particularly during peak gathering periods.
Residents and daily commuters using roads between Chhattarpur Road and the Gurugram Road T-Point should allow additional travel time. Those travelling towards south Delhi, Gurugram or Faridabad may find it easier to choose routes that do not pass through Bhatti Mines or Gadaipur.
Delhi Traffic Police has also urged people to use public transport where practical. Reducing the number of private vehicles near the venue could help limit traffic build-up and make movement easier for people attending the event.
Emergency Services to Receive Free Passage
Police said emergency vehicles will not face restrictions while responding to urgent calls. Ambulances, fire engines, Delhi Police vehicles and other emergency service vehicles will be given free access on roads where diversions and traffic controls have been introduced.
Emergency vehicles entering Delhi from Faridabad through Dera More or the Mandi border have been advised to use Mehrauli-Gurugram Road to avoid delays near the Bhatti Mines area.
Commuters have been requested to follow instructions issued by traffic personnel, remain patient during diversions and avoid stopping on restricted stretches. Checking route conditions before leaving home may help travellers avoid delays as the Guruji Ashram celebration continues through the day.
