Tirupati – Two Jeevakona Residents Killed in Late-Night Weapon Attack

Tirupati – Two men from Jeevakona were killed after an alleged attack by a group of unidentified persons near Padmavathi Kalyana Mandapam in Tirupati late on Wednesday night. Police have begun an investigation and are examining whether a family-related dispute may have led to the incident.

Attack Reported Near Wedding Hall

The victims were identified as Muniratnam, 50, and Manikanta, both residents of Jeevakona. According to information shared by local residents, the two men were attacked at about 11.30 pm by five unidentified people carrying sharp weapons.

Muniratnam reportedly died at the scene. Manikanta was taken to a hospital for treatment but later died from his injuries.

Police Inspect Crime Scene

After receiving information about the incident, Tirupati police reached the location and inspected the area. The bodies were shifted to a mortuary for postmortem examinations as part of the investigation.

Police officials are collecting evidence from the scene and speaking with people in the surrounding area to identify those involved in the attack.

Family Dispute Angle Under Examination

Tirupati East Circle Inspector Srinivasulu said an initial inquiry suggests that family disputes could be linked to the killings. He said the exact sequence of events and motive would be established only after a detailed investigation.

Investigators are reviewing the victims’ recent interactions and checking whether there had been any earlier disputes involving them or their families.

Case Registered, Probe Continues

A case has been registered, and police teams have started efforts to trace the suspects. Further details are expected after the postmortem reports and witness statements are reviewed.

The incident has drawn attention in the Jeevakona area, where residents have urged police to identify the attackers and take action under the law.
