Teacher Murder – School Teacher Killed in Daylight Knife Attack, Suspect Held Within Hours

  Teacher Murder –A female teacher was fatally attacked inside a private school in Haryana on Monday after a young man allegedly entered the campus and repeatedly stabbed her. Police arrested the accused within hours, and the investigation indicates the crime may have been linked to an earlier harassment complaint filed by the victim.

The shocking incident unfolded at a private school in Sikrona village, where 29-year-old teacher Sandhya was attacked shortly after reporting for duty. According to police, the accused, identified as 21-year-old Amit from Kot village, entered the school premises with his face covered by a white scarf and asked to meet the teacher. Within minutes, he allegedly launched a brutal knife attack near the school’s entrance, leaving staff and students in shock.

CCTV Footage Becomes Key Evidence

Investigators said the entire incident was captured by surveillance cameras installed on the school campus. The footage, which later surfaced on social media, reportedly shows the masked attacker repeatedly assaulting the teacher. Police said the accused also threatened a school official who attempted to intervene and rescue the victim before fleeing the scene.

Authorities have registered a First Information Report at Sector 58 Police Station and collected CCTV recordings as part of the investigation. Officials said the visual evidence is expected to play an important role during legal proceedings.

Previous Harassment Complaint Under Investigation

During the preliminary inquiry, police found that the accused had known the victim for nearly two years. Senior officers said Amit had studied at a private school in the woman’s village and became acquainted with her during that period. Investigators believe he continued trying to contact her despite her repeated refusal to maintain communication.

Police further stated that the victim had reportedly warned him against continuing the harassment and had recently lodged a molestation complaint. According to investigators, the accused had publicly apologised after that complaint. Officers suspect the murder may have been carried out in retaliation for the earlier case, though further investigation is continuing.

Victim Had Reported to School as Usual

Police identified the deceased as Sandhya, a resident of Dabua in Ballabgarh, who lived with her husband in Firozpur Kalan and worked at Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Sikrona village. She had arrived at the school at around 9:30 am on Monday and had begun her routine duties before the attack occurred.

Eyewitnesses told investigators that school staff informed Sandhya after the masked visitor requested to meet her. As she approached the main gate, the accused allegedly attacked with a knife, inflicting multiple injuries to her face, neck, chest and other parts of the body.

Rescue Attempt Failed During Attack

Witnesses said Sandhya cried for help and attempted to escape, but the attacker continued the assault. Even after she collapsed, he allegedly continued stabbing her before trying to intimidate anyone who approached.

School administrator Tejpal said he rushed to the scene after hearing screams and attempted to stop the attacker. However, the accused allegedly threatened him with the knife, forcing him to move back. After the suspect escaped, staff members immediately shifted Sandhya to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Tejpal also told police that the attacker had arrived on a motorcycle without a registration number plate. He informed authorities immediately after the incident and assisted in taking the victim for medical treatment.

Accused Arrested Soon After Incident

Police launched a search operation immediately after receiving information about the attack and arrested the suspect within approximately two hours. Officials said Amit has confessed to the crime during questioning, although further interrogation is continuing to establish every aspect of the case.

The accused is expected to be produced before a local court as police seek further custody for investigation. Authorities said they are examining all available evidence, including witness statements and CCTV footage, while continuing legal proceedings.
