Videos Recorded at Busy Bus Terminus

According to officials from the Kattoor police station in Coimbatore city, the two individuals identified as Jismon Saji and Jithu Saji had recorded multiple short videos inside the Gandhipuram bus stand, one of the city’s busiest transport hubs. The duo run social media accounts where they frequently post short-form video content.

In one of the clips, one of the creators appeared wearing a saree while running around inside the terminal area as part of a staged reel recording. Another video showed him dancing with a companion within the premises of the bus station while filming content for social media.

The recordings were later uploaded online and began circulating widely, drawing mixed reactions from viewers.

Public Reaction and Complaints

Several commuters who were present at the bus terminus reportedly felt disturbed by the activity. The bus stand is typically crowded with passengers boarding buses, waiting for connections, or passing through the transit point.

Members of the public expressed concern that such performances in a busy transport facility could cause inconvenience and disrupt the normal movement of passengers. Some individuals took to social media platforms to criticize the act and called for action from authorities.

Following these reactions, complaints were reportedly brought to the attention of local police, prompting them to examine the matter.

Police Inquiry and Case Registration

Kattoor police initiated an inquiry after receiving complaints regarding the filming of the videos. The two YouTubers were subsequently asked to appear before the police for questioning.

The individuals presented themselves at the police station on Monday, where officers conducted an inquiry regarding the filming and posting of the videos from the bus terminus.

After reviewing the matter, the police registered a case under Section 75 of the City Police Act. Officials stated that the section relates to actions that may create disturbance or inconvenience in public spaces.

However, the duo were released after being issued a strong warning by authorities.

Videos Removed From Social Media

Following the police inquiry, the controversial videos were removed from the social media accounts operated by the two creators. Officials confirmed that the clips are no longer available on their platforms.

Police sources also indicated that the Instagram account used by the duo belongs to individuals from Kerala who have been posting similar dance and performance reels filmed in different public places across both Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Authorities said they are keeping a watch on such activities, especially when content creation interferes with public convenience or safety.

Earlier Incident Inside Moving Train

This is not the first time the duo have faced scrutiny for filming reels in public transport settings. In an earlier incident, the Railway Protection Force under the Trivandrum Division had summoned them for recording and sharing a video inside a moving train.

A case had been registered in connection with that video as well, and the individuals were cautioned against filming such content in trains in the future.

That clip was also removed from social media following the inquiry.

Officials have reiterated that while creating online content is not restricted, filming in crowded public spaces or transport facilities should not cause disruption to the public or violate regulations.
