  SEOKeyword – The Andhra Pradesh government has launched a large-scale recruitment initiative for Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) across its power sector organisations, reinforcing its focus on strengthening electricity infrastructure while creating employment opportunities. Led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the recruitment campaign covers 629 vacancies and forms part of the coalition government’s Job Calendar commitments aimed at expanding public sector employment.

Recruitment Notifications Released

Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar announced that official recruitment notifications were issued on Wednesday for multiple power utilities operating across the state. The vacancies are intended to address long-pending shortages in engineering positions and improve the efficiency of electricity generation, transmission, and distribution services.

The minister stated that the government remains committed to conducting transparent recruitment processes while enhancing the capacity of public institutions. According to him, the initiative reflects the administration’s efforts to deliver employment opportunities promised to young job seekers.

Vacancies Distributed Across Power Utilities

The recruitment drive includes positions in several major state-run power organisations. APTRANSCO has been allotted 200 Assistant Executive Engineer posts, while APGENCO will recruit 100 engineers. APSPDCL has received 134 vacancies, APCPDCL will fill 60 positions, and APEPDCL has announced recruitment for 135 posts.

These appointments are expected to strengthen technical departments responsible for maintaining and expanding the state’s electricity network.

APSPDCL Recruitment Details

Among the participating utilities, APSPDCL will recruit 125 Assistant Executive Engineers in the Electrical discipline. In addition, six Civil Engineering posts and four Telecom Engineering posts have also been announced.

The organisation has scheduled the online application process from June 30 to July 27, providing eligible candidates with nearly a month to submit their applications.

Openings in Other State Utilities

APCPDCL has announced vacancies for 56 Assistant Executive Engineers in Electrical Engineering, along with three Civil Engineering positions and one Telecom Engineering post.

Meanwhile, APGENCO plans to recruit 80 Assistant Executive Engineers across Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics disciplines. Another 20 vacancies have been earmarked for Civil Engineering professionals to support projects within the power generation sector.

APTRANSCO and APEPDCL Recruitment Plans

APTRANSCO will recruit 167 Assistant Executive Engineers in the Electrical category, 23 Civil Engineers, and 10 Telecom Engineers. These appointments are expected to strengthen the state’s transmission network and improve operational reliability.

APEPDCL has also released vacancies for 128 Electrical Assistant Executive Engineers, four Civil Engineers, and three Telecom Engineers. The recruitment will help meet engineering requirements across the utility’s service areas and support efficient power distribution.

With recruitment now underway across all major electricity utilities, the Andhra Pradesh government aims to improve technical manpower while creating fresh career opportunities for engineering graduates seeking employment in the public sector.
