Railways – Indian Railways is moving ahead with plans to modernize station operations by introducing digital working systems for station masters and developing a unified platform aimed at improving coordination across departments. The proposed measures are expected to strengthen operational efficiency, support faster decision-making, and enhance passenger services at railway stations across the country.

Review of New Operational Reforms
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently held a review meeting with senior railway officials to assess the progress of several initiatives focused on station management. During the discussions, officials examined the changing responsibilities of station masters and the challenges emerging from increasing railway traffic and expanding operational demands.
Station masters continue to play a central role in ensuring safe train movements, coordinating among departments, supervising station facilities, and addressing passenger concerns.
