Politics –  A satirical political group that emerged in response to a controversial remark allegedly linking unemployed young people to “cockroaches” has announced its willingness to engage in discussions with both the ruling establishment and opposition parties.

Politics satirical party talks education protest

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which has attracted attention through its unconventional political messaging, made the statement during its first official press conference held in New Delhi on Wednesday. The event came shortly after the party’s account on social media platform X was reportedly withheld.

Party Announces Outreach Effort

During the media interaction, representatives of the organization said they were prepared to hold conversations with leaders across the political spectrum. According to party members, the objective is to encourage broader public participation in issues affecting young people and students.

The group was formed in the wake of public debate surrounding comments reportedly made by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant. Those remarks sparked discussions online and led to the creation of the satirical movement, which has since gained visibility through social media and public engagement.

Focus on Education-Related Concerns

CJP leaders also revealed plans to organize a protest later this week in the national capital. The demonstration is expected to focus on concerns linked to recent controversies involving major educational examinations and administrative processes.

The party has demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, citing dissatisfaction over the handling of issues related to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and matters associated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). These developments have generated significant public discussion among students, parents, and education stakeholders.

Call for Participation Across Political Lines

Addressing journalists, party chief spokesperson and journalist Saurav Das said that the organization intends to keep its protest open to people regardless of political affiliation. He emphasized that participants would not be required to represent any party or carry political banners.

According to Das, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke is scheduled to arrive in Delhi on June 6 and will take part in the planned activities. The spokesperson extended an invitation to individuals and political workers from different backgrounds to join the demonstration.

Movement Seeks Wider Public Engagement

Party members stated that their initiative is aimed at drawing attention to issues affecting students and unemployed youth while encouraging democratic participation. Although the organization began as a satirical response to a public controversy, its leaders indicated that they now intend to engage more actively in public discourse.

The upcoming protest is expected to serve as a platform for expressing concerns related to education governance and examination administration. Whether the movement gains broader political influence remains to be seen, but its recent activities have already drawn attention in national discussions surrounding youth and education issues.
