Proposed emblem reflects cultural symbolism

According to the party, the newly envisioned emblem would prominently feature the classical Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar at its centre, representing the state’s deep cultural and literary heritage. Flanking the figure, cows are proposed as symbolic elements to reflect the importance of agriculture and traditional livelihoods in Tamil society.

NTK chief Seeman stated that the proposed emblem is intended to reshape the identity of governance in the state. He emphasised that the change would signify a renewed focus on Tamil pride and historical roots if the party assumes power.

Manifesto outlines long-term governance vision

The manifesto presents a broader framework centred on cultural identity, environmental responsibility, and economic self-reliance. Seeman noted that the ideas outlined are not recent developments but part of the party’s long-standing vision for Tamil Nadu.

He stressed that the state requires a transformation in governance approach rather than merely a shift in political leadership, indicating the party’s intention to bring structural changes.

Agriculture positioned as central priority

Highlighting farming as a crucial sector, the manifesto proposes recognising agriculture as a primary occupation with formal government support. Plans include restoring water bodies using traditional techniques and expanding the planting of palmyra trees to improve groundwater levels.

To support farmers, the party has suggested setting up cold storage facilities in every district to minimise post-harvest losses. It also advocates for natural farming practices aimed at producing chemical-free food.

Focus on self-reliant economy and transparency

NTK’s economic strategy revolves around utilising local resources to meet regional needs. A notable proposal includes the development of “Cycling Parks,” where industrial by-products from one unit can serve as inputs for another, promoting a circular and waste-free industrial system.

The manifesto also underscores the need for transparency in political funding and governance, aligning with recent judicial views on electoral financing mechanisms.

Education and healthcare reforms highlighted

In education, the party proposes strengthening mother tongue-based learning by prioritising Tamil-medium instruction and mandating native language registration. The curriculum is expected to include practical life skills such as household responsibilities, environmental awareness, and social values to encourage balanced development and gender equality.

On healthcare, NTK has proposed establishing a specialised hospital in Tiruchirappalli dedicated to transgender and trans-masculine individuals. Additionally, it envisions creating a large-scale medical tourism hub that combines modern medicine with traditional systems like Siddha and Ayurveda.

Environmental policies and waste management plans

Addressing environmental challenges, the manifesto promotes treating waste as a resource. It suggests adopting an incentive-based waste segregation model inspired by international practices, encouraging public participation through benefits such as travel rewards.

The party also proposes strict environmental monitoring, including regular audits and firm action against industries that fail to meet ecological standards.

Social welfare and infrastructure initiatives

The manifesto includes provisions for social equity, such as reservation policies in the private sector for historically marginalised communities, along with penalties for non-compliance. Welfare measures for police personnel, including annual family trips, have also been proposed.

In urban planning, NTK suggests improving public transport safety by introducing automatic doors in long-distance buses and reducing congestion by limiting large vehicles within city limits.

Tourism development and cultural preservation

To boost tourism, the party plans to upgrade historically significant sites such as Keeladi, the Thanjavur Big Temple, and Adichanallur into globally recognised destinations. It has also proposed free travel arrangements for pilgrims during major festivals to promote cultural engagement.

Overall, the manifesto outlines a comprehensive roadmap that combines cultural preservation with modern governance strategies, reflecting NTK’s attempt to present an alternative model for Tamil Nadu’s future.
