Politics – Kangana Ranaut Reacts After Protester’s Apology Over Alleged Remarks Against PM Modi

Politics – A fresh political debate has emerged after actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut reacted to an apology video shared by a woman accused of making offensive remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a protest in Delhi. The incident has drawn attention following the registration of an FIR and renewed discussions around the influence of protest gatherings on young participants.

Kangana reacts pm modi apology

The controversy stems from a demonstration held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on July 23, where the woman was allegedly heard using abusive language against the Prime Minister. After the video circulated online, legal action was initiated against her. Later, another video surfaced in which she expressed regret for her actions, claiming she had been influenced by others present at the protest.

Kangana Ranaut Raises Questions Over Alleged Influence

Responding to the apology clip, Kangana Ranaut shared a screenshot on her Instagram Stories and argued that the woman had been persuaded by people around her to make the remarks. According to the BJP MP, the protester herself admitted that she had never previously spoken against the Prime Minister before attending the gathering with friends.

Kangana also expressed concern about what she described as the growing influence of certain ideological groups on young people. In her social media post, she urged parents to remain alert and safeguard children from individuals whom she accused of encouraging such behaviour. She further questioned why, in her view, young women appeared to be vulnerable to manipulation and called for society to reflect on the issue.

Protester Apologises for Her Conduct

In the apology video, the woman said she had initially visited Connaught Place with a friend before unexpectedly reaching the protest site, where different groups had assembled. She stated that people around her were raising slogans and using offensive language against the Prime Minister.

According to her statement, she was encouraged by others to join in and eventually repeated similar remarks without fully considering the consequences. She described her behaviour as a serious mistake and expressed deep regret over the incident.

The woman also said that her actions were unacceptable and assured viewers that she would never repeat such conduct in the future. She added that she had not uploaded the original video herself and apologised to the nation, requesting forgiveness for what she called an unforgivable lapse in judgment.

Uncertainty Over the Woman’s Reported Age

One aspect of the case remains unclear. In the apology video, the woman identifies herself as 15 years old. However, information available from the FIR reportedly lists her age as 25.

At present, there has been no independent confirmation regarding her actual age, and the authenticity of the apology video or her claim of being a minor has not been officially verified. As a result, the discrepancy continues to raise questions while the matter remains under scrutiny.

Prime Minister Calls for Compassion Instead of Punishment

The apology video appeared shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made public remarks urging people to avoid harsh treatment of students accused of raising abusive slogans. In a video shared on Instagram, he described such individuals as misguided young people who should be guided rather than subjected to prolonged legal or social punishment.

The Prime Minister said that society has a responsibility to help young people learn from their mistakes instead of isolating them. He encouraged students to move forward positively, gain new experiences, and contribute constructively to the country’s development, stressing that mistakes should become opportunities for learning and personal growth rather than lifelong stigma.
