Nationwide Transfer to Reach Crores of Farmers

Under the new instalment, more than Rs 18,880 crore will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism. Official figures indicate that over 9.44 crore farmer families across India will receive the financial support as part of the programme.

The PM-KISAN scheme remains one of the country’s largest farmer welfare initiatives, ensuring that eligible cultivators receive financial assistance without intermediaries. The direct transfer system has been designed to improve transparency and speed in the distribution process.

Gujarat Farmers to Receive Significant Assistance

In Gujarat, more than 51.28 lakh farmers are expected to benefit from the latest instalment. The total amount scheduled to be credited to beneficiaries in the state exceeds Rs 1,025 crore.

To mark the occasion, the Gujarat government will organise a state-level PM Kisan Utsav Diwas programme at the Town Hall in Gandhinagar. The event will be led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and attended by Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani along with Minister of State Ramesh Katara.

Officials have planned the programme as part of a broader effort to highlight the benefits of the scheme and engage with farming communities across the state.

Prime Minister to Address Farmers Virtually

As part of the national event, Prime Minister Modi will interact virtually with farmers from different regions of the country. During the programme, he is expected to address beneficiaries and discuss ongoing agricultural initiatives aimed at strengthening the farming sector.

The interaction will be broadcast across multiple platforms and locations, enabling farmers to participate and follow the proceedings from their respective districts and villages.

PM-KISAN Scheme Continues Large-Scale Outreach

Government data shows that since the launch of PM-KISAN, a total of 22 instalments have already been distributed. More than 11 crore farmers have collectively received assistance exceeding Rs 4.28 lakh crore under the scheme.

The programme has become a key component of the government’s rural support framework, providing regular financial assistance to eligible farming families and helping supplement agricultural income.

Extensive Arrangements for Live Broadcast

Authorities have made arrangements for live screenings of the Prime Minister’s address at Agricultural Science Centres, market yards, Farmer Producer Organisations, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samruddhi Kendras and Primary Agricultural Credit Societies.

In addition, district-level, taluka-level and village-level gatherings have been organised to ensure widespread participation and awareness among farmers regarding the latest instalment release and related agricultural programmes.
