Dispute Between Couple Turned Deadly
Police officials said the incident occurred close to a traffic signal located near the Oshiwara Police Station. Initial findings suggest that the husband and wife were engaged in an argument over a personal matter when the confrontation suddenly escalated. During the altercation, the accused is alleged to have picked up a heavy stone and struck the woman. Investigators further stated that he later attacked her with a knife, causing critical injuries.
The woman fell to the ground after the assault and suffered extensive blood loss. Local authorities were alerted soon after the incident, prompting an immediate emergency response.
Victim Shifted to Hospital but Could Not Be Saved
A police team from Oshiwara Police Station reached the location shortly after receiving information about the attack. Officers arranged for the injured woman to be taken to Cooper Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical staff, doctors examined her upon arrival and declared her dead. The incident has left residents in the area shocked, especially because it occurred at a public location near a busy traffic intersection.
Police Launch Swift Search Operation
Following the attack, the accused fled the scene in an apparent attempt to avoid arrest. Police immediately began tracking his movements and launched a search operation based on available leads.
