Karnataka: A road tragedy claims the lives of three family members
Karnataka: In the early hours of Wednesday, a traffic accident near Devinagar Camp in the Ballari district of Karnataka resulted in the immediate deaths of three family members and the injuries of two more.

Around five in the morning, an automobile apparently lost control, struck a roadside barrier, and then overturned on the Ballari–Siruguppa State Highway.
Two ladies in the car and Prasad Rao of Nitturu village perished at the site.
Two ladies and Prasad Rao of Nitturu village died instantly, while two other people were hospitalized after suffering severe injuries.
Two further family members were sent to the Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) Hospital in Ballari for treatment after suffering severe injuries. Their situation is serious, according to doctors.
Five members of the same family were returning from a Tamil Nadu temple when the tragedy occurred, according to the police.
According to preliminary inquiry, the collision may have been caused by the driver losing control of the car and speeding.
Additionally, the authorities believe that early morning fatigue may have caused the driver to fall asleep.
Siruguppa Police hurried to the scene and carried out a spot examination as soon as they received the information.
Additional investigation is in progress after a complaint was filed at the Siruguppa police station.
A private sleeper coach bus crashed into a group of pilgrims on a padayatra to the Huligemma Devi temple in Huligi in Karnataka’s Koppal district on October 7, killing three of them, according to the police. A number of other people were hurt and sent to Koppal District Hospital.
Annapoorna, 40, her son Sharanappa, 19, and Prakash, 25, who lived in Tallihala hamlet in Rona taluk in Gadag district, were identified by the police as the dead. They were among fifteen pilgrims.
Four companions who were traveling to Sabarimala on pilgrimage perished on November 24 after their allegedly speeding automobile crashed into a flyover barrier and fell into an underpass in Malur taluk, Kolar district. Devastatingly, the collision caused immediate death.
