Investigation – The Andhra Pradesh government has assured complete support to the family of software professional Radha Gayatri, whose death under unclear circumstances in Mussoorie has raised serious concerns. Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha met the victim’s parents on Monday and said the government would stand by the family while efforts continue to establish the facts surrounding the incident.
The minister held discussions with Radha Gayatri’s parents, Sudhakar and Satyavathi, who expressed their doubts about the circumstances in which their daughter lost her life. They also shared their concerns regarding the conduct of her husband, Sricharan, and requested the state’s assistance in ensuring a fair and transparent investigation.
Government Begins Coordination With Uttarakhand Authorities
Following the meeting, Anitha said officials had already initiated communication with the authorities handling the case in Uttarakhand. She stated that the in-charge Joint Commissioner of Police had contacted the local police in Mussoorie and gathered preliminary information related to the investigation.
The Home Minister also revealed that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had instructed the Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police to coordinate directly with the Director General of Police in Uttarakhand. The move is intended to ensure smooth cooperation between both states as the investigation progresses.
Family Seeks Thorough Investigation
According to Anitha, the victim’s parents have questioned the circumstances leading to Radha Gayatri’s death and urged the government to ensure that every aspect of the case is carefully examined. They appealed for a detailed inquiry so that any unanswered questions surrounding the incident can be addressed through the legal process.
The minister said the government believes the facts must be established through a proper investigation. She added that if any individual is found responsible after the inquiry is completed, strict legal action should be taken in accordance with the law.
State Promises Continued Assistance
Reiterating the government’s commitment, Anitha said the Andhra Pradesh administration would continue extending all necessary support to the bereaved family throughout the investigation. She emphasized that the authorities are closely monitoring developments and remain in touch with officials handling the case.
The assurance comes amid growing concern from the family, who have sought clarity over the events that led to Radha Gayatri’s death while she was away from home.
Events Leading to the Incident
As per information shared by the family, Radha Gayatri had travelled to Mussoorie along with her husband. They stated that on June 14, Sricharan informed them that she had been found unresponsive after reportedly failing to wake up that morning.
The exact cause and circumstances of her death remain under investigation. Officials have not announced any final conclusions, and the family continues to seek a comprehensive probe into the incident. The Andhra Pradesh government has assured that it will provide all possible support while the investigation moves forward in coordination with the Uttarakhand authorities.
