Police officials said they received an emergency call at around 9:28 am reporting the collapse near Block 3 in Roop Nagar. Teams were immediately dispatched to the site, where rescue operations began without delay. According to preliminary information, the woman was often seen sitting near one end of the bridge. Local residents identified her as a beggar, though her formal identification is still underway. Authorities confirmed that efforts are ongoing to verify her identity and inform any possible relatives.
