Heroism – A resident who suffered severe injuries while helping rescue people during a devastating fire in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar area will receive complete medical assistance from the Delhi government until he recovers fully. The decision comes as a significant relief for Rohit Mukhiya, whose brave actions during the June 3 fire incident earned widespread appreciation.
The announcement was made after the state government reviewed his condition and the challenges being faced by his family following the accident. Authorities said every necessary step would be taken to ensure that his treatment continues without financial burden.
Financial Assistance Approved for Injured Rescuer
Recognizing his courage and selfless efforts, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta approved an immediate financial aid package of ₹5 lakh. The assistance has been provided as an ex-gratia grant aimed at supporting the family during Rohit’s recovery period.
