Collector reviews field verification in A Konduru mandal

The Collector inspected the work at Ramachandrapuram village in A Konduru mandal, where Booth Level Officers were conducting door-to-door visits to verify voter details. During the inspection, he examined how forms were being distributed, collected from residents and uploaded for digitisation.

Lakshmisha instructed officials to carry out the revision exercise carefully and ensure that no mistakes occur at any stage. He said the process must follow the directions issued by the Election Commission of India and should be completed within the prescribed framework.

More than 16 lakh forms distributed across district

According to the district administration, a total of 16,68,565 enumeration forms have been distributed so far. Of these, 5,43,350 forms have already been digitised, reflecting the progress made by field staff in collecting and processing voter information.

Officials have been asked to focus on the remaining households where forms are yet to be delivered. The Collector said additional efforts were being made to finish the distribution work quickly and improve the pace of data entry so that the electoral rolls can be updated on time.

Jaggayyapeta records highest distribution progress

The Collector also reviewed the constituency-wise status of form distribution. Jaggayyapeta recorded the highest progress at 98.9 per cent, while Vijayawada West and Vijayawada East each reported 97.71 per cent distribution.

In Tiruvuru, officials have completed distribution in 97.1 per cent of areas. Vijayawada Central has reached 97.19 per cent, while Mylavaram reported 96.59 per cent progress. Nandigama stood at 96.66 per cent, according to the figures shared by the Collector.

The review was aimed at identifying areas that require faster completion of the exercise and ensuring that field teams receive necessary support to meet the targets.

Officials asked to ensure accurate voter inclusion

Lakshmisha asked Booth Level Officers and other personnel involved in the revision process to work with fairness and responsibility. He said every eligible voter should be included in the electoral rolls after proper verification.

At the same time, officials must make sure that names of ineligible persons are not added to the voter list. Accurate voter records are essential for maintaining the credibility of elections and ensuring that eligible citizens are able to exercise their franchise.

The Special Intensive Revision is being carried out to update voter details, verify existing entries and improve the accuracy of electoral rolls across the district. The administration has directed field staff to maintain transparency throughout the process and address issues noticed during household verification.
