Education Reforms – Concerns over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination process continued to dominate political discussions on Wednesday, with Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal urging young people to demand stronger accountability from authorities handling such cases.
Speaking during a media interaction, Kejriwal said repeated incidents involving examination paper leaks had created widespread anxiety among students preparing for highly competitive entrance tests across the country. He noted that trust in the examination system had been affected due to recurring controversies surrounding recruitment and admission exams.
Youth Participation Highlighted in Public Accountability Debate
The former Delhi chief minister referred to political developments in neighbouring countries while encouraging India’s younger generation to remain active in public issues. According to him, young citizens have the potential to push for institutional accountability when concerns directly impact their future and education opportunities.
Kejriwal stated that students and aspirants preparing for major examinations deserve a fair and transparent process. He added that millions of candidates invest years of hard work and financial resources into preparation, making integrity in examinations a matter of national importance.
Questions Raised Over Investigation Outcomes
During the press conference, the AAP national convener also questioned the effectiveness of previous investigations conducted into paper leak allegations. He claimed that inquiries in earlier cases had not resulted in strict action against those allegedly responsible for compromising examination systems.
Referring to the alleged NEET paper leak controversy, Kejriwal expressed doubts over whether another investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation would lead to meaningful results. He alleged that several past cases had failed to produce strong outcomes despite official probes.
The remarks come amid continuing political exchanges over examination-related irregularities and the demand for stricter safeguards in recruitment and entrance tests conducted across India.
Concerns Over Students’ Future
Kejriwal further alleged that several paper leak incidents reported over the past decade had negatively affected the future of a large number of students. According to him, repeated disruptions and controversies surrounding examinations have increased uncertainty among young aspirants seeking admission to educational institutions or government jobs.
He also claimed that many of these incidents had occurred in states governed by the Bharatiya Janata Party, using the issue to criticise the ruling party’s handling of examination security and administrative oversight.
The alleged NEET paper leak case has triggered wider discussions on examination reforms, digital monitoring systems, and stronger legal action against organised cheating networks. Education experts and student groups have repeatedly called for tighter security measures to prevent leaks and restore confidence among candidates.
Demand for Stronger Examination Safeguards
