DeputyCM – Chandrababu Naidu Visits Pawan Kalyan Following Successful Shoulder Surgery
DeputyCM –Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan in Mumbai on Sunday after the latter underwent successful surgery on his right shoulder. During the visit, Naidu reviewed his health condition, interacted with the medical team overseeing the treatment, and wished him a smooth and complete recovery.
Chief Minister Naidu visited Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where Pawan Kalyan recently underwent the procedure. He was accompanied by ministers Nadendla Manohar, P. Narayana, and Anagani Satya Prasad. The delegation spent time with the Deputy Chief Minister and also spoke with his family members regarding his ongoing recovery.
Chief Minister Reviews Medical Progress
During the hospital visit, Naidu met Pawan Kalyan’s wife, Anna Konidela, and sought detailed information about his health. He also interacted with the panel of doctors who carried out the surgery to understand the treatment process and post-operative care plan. The Chief Minister encouraged the Deputy Chief Minister to focus on rest and strictly follow the medical advice prescribed by specialists to ensure a steady recovery.
Surgery Completed Successfully After Extended Procedure
Addressing reporters after the visit, Naidu said the surgery had been completed successfully by an experienced team of specialists. According to him, the operation lasted for approximately three-and-a-half hours and concluded without complications. He expressed satisfaction with the medical team’s efforts and stated that Pawan Kalyan’s condition remains stable following the procedure.
Long-Standing Shoulder Injuries Required Medical Attention
The Chief Minister explained that Pawan Kalyan had been dealing with serious injuries in both shoulders for several years but continued to remain actively engaged in public service despite the discomfort. He noted that frequent public meetings, extensive travel, and continuous participation in official and political programmes had gradually aggravated the condition, making surgical intervention necessary.
Naidu praised the Deputy Chief Minister’s dedication, saying he had consistently prioritised his responsibilities even while coping with persistent physical pain. However, medical experts eventually recommended surgery to prevent the condition from worsening further.
Rehabilitation to Include Physiotherapy and Rest
Doctors have advised a structured recovery programme that includes around three weeks of physiotherapy along with sufficient rest before resuming regular activities. The Chief Minister said rehabilitation would play a key role in restoring full strength and mobility to the operated shoulder.
He further informed that specialists would evaluate Pawan Kalyan’s left shoulder after approximately six months. Based on the medical assessment at that stage, doctors will decide whether physiotherapy alone will be adequate or if an additional surgical procedure may be required.
Leaders Express Confidence in Early Return
Naidu expressed optimism about the Deputy Chief Minister’s recovery, saying he is expected to regain full fitness after completing his treatment and rehabilitation. He voiced confidence that Pawan Kalyan would soon resume his public responsibilities with renewed energy once doctors clear him to return to work.
The visit also reflected the state leadership’s support for the Deputy Chief Minister during his recovery period. Officials indicated that his health would continue to be monitored closely while he follows the prescribed rehabilitation programme under medical supervision.
