Delhi Shocker: A maid and her son use an iron pan to attack an elderly woman, then flee with ₹1,500 in cash, gold, and silver

Delhi Shocker: A shocking story of violence and treachery has surfaced from the Sunlight Colony neighborhood in southeast Delhi, where on December 13, 2025, an old lady named Narayani Devi was viciously robbed and beaten by her son and domestic staff. The accused, Sunita and her son Sagar Chauhan, are accused of attacking the victim with an iron pan, snatching silver anklets, a 25-gram gold necklace, and Rs 1,500 in cash.

According to Delhi Police, the accused reportedly used an iron pan to assault an old lady at a home in Bhagwan Nagar, Ashram. Following the attack, the accused stole ₹1,500 in cash, 300 grams of silver anklets, and a 25-gram gold necklace from the victim with the help of her son.

Based on local information and CCTV evidence, police were able to detain both, seizing ₹10,000 in cash along with two cell phones. Following a complaint, an inquiry was started and FIR No. 500/2025 was filed at the Sunlight Colony Police Station in accordance with Section 309(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). During questioning, the accused acknowledged selling the victim’s gold chain to buy the seized cell phones and confessed to the heist, claiming a need for quick cash.
