Delhi Pollution: According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) improved somewhat on Tuesday morning, falling from the “severe” zone at 7 am to 378 in the “very poor” category. Residents who had been suffering from dangerous air conditions found little comfort from the little improvement after days of suffocating pollution.

However, in a number of places, pollution levels continued to be dangerously high. With an AQI of 430, Wazirpur had the poorest air quality, followed by Vivek Vihar at 415. With AQI values ranging from 420 to 424, Mundka, Anand Vihar, and Nehru Nagar all remained in the “severe” category.

A yellow caution for moderate to intense fog in the morning hours was issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday. It predicts a low temperature of around 9 degrees Celsius and a high temperature of approximately 23 degrees Celsius.
The IMD predicts that daytime highs will be close to 23 degrees Celsius and nighttime lows will be around 9 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday morning, the department also forecasted mild fog, which should progressively dissipate over the day.
