State BJP President N Ramchander Rao attended the event and praised the military’s swift retaliatory action carried out against terror camps after the attack. Addressing media representatives during the programme, Rao said the operation demonstrated India’s firm commitment to protecting national security and responding strongly to acts of terrorism.

BJP Criticises Opposition Over Security Issues

During his remarks, Rao accused the Congress party of failing to support the armed forces during critical national security operations. He referred to previous debates surrounding the Balakot airstrikes and claimed opposition leaders had questioned the military’s actions instead of backing the country’s defence forces.

He also stated that Operation Sindoor reflected a decisive approach by the government and armed forces in countering terrorism. According to him, the operation showed how intelligence coordination and military planning were used to target terrorist infrastructure effectively.

Rajnath Singh Releases Documentary in Jaipur

Separately, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh released a documentary marking one year of Operation Sindoor during an event at the South Western Command headquarters in Jaipur on Thursday.

The documentary focused on India’s evolving anti-terror policy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and highlighted the country’s military readiness, strategic planning and defence modernisation efforts. Through archival visuals and official accounts, the film presented the government’s position on maintaining a strong stance against terrorism.

Operation Presented as Coordinated National Response

In the documentary, Rajnath Singh described Operation Sindoor as more than a military mission, calling it an example of coordinated action involving political leadership, intelligence agencies and the armed forces. He said the operation reflected a broader national strategy aimed at responding firmly to cross-border terrorism.

The film revisited the circumstances surrounding the 2025 Pahalgam terror attack, stating that the assault was intended to disrupt peace and economic development in Jammu and Kashmir. It also showcased meetings involving senior government officials, military commanders and cabinet ministers where security measures and future strategies were discussed.

Government Reaffirms Security Doctrine

The documentary concluded with a strong message on India’s national security doctrine. It repeated the government’s long-standing position that terrorism cannot coexist with dialogue, trade or normal bilateral relations.

Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7, 2025, shortly after the Pahalgam attack. According to official statements, the mission targeted terrorist infrastructure across the Line of Control and in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Government sources had earlier stated that more than 100 terrorists were neutralised during the operation.
