Bodies Discovered Under Suspicious Circumstances

Police said they were alerted on April 4 about two individuals found dead in a room under unclear circumstances. Upon arriving at the location, officers discovered the bodies of Devender Kumar, aged 50, and his brother Amit, aged 48. The room appeared to be in disarray, with liquor and beer bottles scattered across the floor, suggesting a night of heavy drinking before the violence unfolded.

Initial observations raised suspicions, prompting the involvement of crime scene investigators and forensic teams. Evidence was collected carefully from the site, and the bodies were later transported to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Post-Mortem Confirms Cause of Death

According to senior police officials, the autopsy reports confirmed that both victims died due to internal injuries caused by a physical assault. There were no signs of external weapon use, indicating that the injuries likely resulted from intense physical violence during the altercation.

The findings strengthened the suspicion that the deaths were not accidental but the outcome of a violent confrontation inside the house. Investigators began piecing together the sequence of events leading up to the incident.

Alcohol-Fueled Argument Turns Violent

During the early stages of the investigation, police learned that the three men had been consuming alcohol together before the situation spiraled out of control. A verbal disagreement reportedly escalated into a physical fight, ultimately leading to the fatal injuries sustained by the two victims.

Authorities identified Ishwar, the son of Devender Kumar, as a key suspect in the case. Following the incident, he was found to be missing, which further raised suspicion about his involvement.

Accused Traced and Taken Into Custody

Police launched a search operation to locate Ishwar, who had fled after the incident. After several days of tracking, he was apprehended from the C-1 Block area of Mohan Garden near Main Najafgarh Road. His arrest marked a significant breakthrough in the case.

Officials stated that a case had already been registered at the Uttam Nagar police station under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Following his arrest, Ishwar was taken into custody for further questioning to understand the exact sequence of events and his role in the deaths.

Investigation Continues

Police officials confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing, with further evidence being examined to establish all aspects of the case. Statements from neighbors and possible witnesses are also being recorded to gain a clearer picture of what transpired that night.

The incident has once again highlighted the dangers of disputes escalating under the influence of alcohol, particularly within domestic settings. Authorities have urged the public to seek help in situations of conflict before they turn violent.
