Crime – Three Men Die After Drinking Liquor, Murder Plot Uncovered by Police
Crime – The deaths of three men after consuming liquor from a single bottle have now been linked to a planned crime, according to police findings.

Three men who fell critically ill after consuming alcohol from the same bottle have died, prompting a detailed police investigation that has now revealed a suspected murder conspiracy. Officials confirmed that three individuals, including a woman, have been taken into custody in connection with the case.
Incident and Victims Identified
The deceased have been identified as Baburam, a 60-year-old grocery shop owner, Jitendra, 35, who worked at his shop, and Ankit, also known as Daulat, aged 40. According to officials, the three men had purchased liquor from a licensed government outlet on Friday evening and began drinking near the shop premises.
Shortly after consuming the alcohol, all three reportedly experienced severe discomfort, including vomiting and intense abdominal pain. They were rushed to a nearby hospital, where Jitendra and Ankit were declared dead on arrival. Baburam succumbed during treatment later.
Authorities Begin Investigation
Senior officials, including police and administrative officers, reached the scene soon after the incident was reported. A thorough investigation was launched to determine whether the liquor was contaminated or if other factors were involved.
Initial checks focused on the possibility of toxic or expired alcohol. However, authorities found that the bottling date on the liquor was recent, and no similar complaints had been reported from other bottles of the same batch.
Forensic Findings Rule Out Toxic Liquor
A detailed examination by the excise laboratory did not detect the presence of commonly known toxic substances such as methanol or chloral hydrate. This finding shifted the direction of the investigation, raising suspicions about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police officials then expanded their probe, examining surveillance footage, gathering technical evidence, and conducting local inquiries. These efforts led investigators to suspect that the case was not accidental but deliberate.
Conspiracy and Motive Revealed
During questioning, the main accused, identified as Pawan Ahlawat, disclosed crucial details about the case. He admitted to being in a long-term relationship with Alka, who is the sister of one of the deceased, Ankit.
According to police, Alka had been troubled by her brother’s alcohol dependency and his aggressive behavior. This reportedly led to the formulation of a plan to eliminate him.
Investigators revealed that Pawan arranged a poisonous substance through an associate, Ashok Verma. The chemical was allegedly mixed into a liquor pouch, which was then resealed and handed over to Ankit.
Unintended Victims in the Incident
Police stated that Ankit consumed the adulterated liquor, but the situation took a tragic turn when Jitendra and Baburam, who were present at the scene, also drank from the same bottle. This resulted in all three men falling ill and eventually losing their lives.
Authorities believe that while Ankit was the intended target, the other two victims became unintended casualties of the act.
Arrests and Ongoing Inquiry
Based on the findings, police have arrested Alka, Pawan Ahlawat, and Ashok Verma. Officials confirmed that further investigation is underway to establish additional details and ensure all aspects of the case are thoroughly examined.
The incident has raised concerns about personal disputes escalating into violent crimes, as well as the broader implications of such acts on public safety.
