Widespread Action Across Municipal Zones

According to officials, enforcement teams have demolished around 82 structures and sealed 43 properties during the ongoing drive. The operations were conducted with support from the Delhi Police to ensure smooth implementation and maintain law and order during the actions.

In the South Zone, authorities demolished 12 properties for breaching building bylaws, while 14 additional properties were sealed for similar violations. Enforcement teams in the Civil Lines Zone carried out demolition proceedings against seven properties. Meanwhile, eight unauthorized structures were removed in the Narela Zone as part of the citywide campaign.

Guest Houses Found Violating Building Rules

During a joint inspection involving the MCD and other concerned agencies, officials identified more than 12 bed-and-breakfast establishments in Hauz Rani that were allegedly operating in violation of prescribed construction regulations.

The survey also revealed significant irregularities in nearby areas. Authorities found 32 properties in Saidulajab and nine properties in Khirki Extension that were reportedly functioning without adhering to required building and operational norms.

Sealing Drive Targets Hauz Rani Establishments

As part of the latest enforcement measures conducted on Friday, five guest houses in Hauz Rani were sealed. The affected establishments included Green Residency, Sky Inn, Flourish Inn, Venue Inn, and Mikasa Inn.

Officials stated that additional action is being prepared against the properties identified in Saidulajab and Khirki Extension. Civic authorities have indicated that these localities will remain under continuous monitoring to detect any unauthorized construction activity or commercial operations that fail to comply with regulations.

Action Extends to Other Localities

The enforcement campaign was not limited to Hauz Rani and surrounding areas. In Savitri Nagar, Sainik Farm, and Khanpur, civic teams carried out demolition and sealing proceedings against three properties found violating applicable rules.

In a separate operation, three basement premises in Gautam Nagar were sealed after they were allegedly being used as libraries without the necessary permissions, violating municipal regulations.

Notices and Orders Issued Across Delhi

The MCD has also initiated administrative action against a large number of property owners. Officials confirmed that more than 150 notices and orders have been issued citywide. These include notices related to unauthorized construction, sealing directives, and demolition orders for misuse of properties and violations of building bylaws.

The civic body said that enforcement efforts are being conducted across all municipal zones to improve compliance with urban planning regulations and ensure public safety.

Rohini Zone Sees Commercial Enforcement Drive

Apart from building-related violations, the Public Health Department in the Rohini Zone has launched a separate enforcement exercise against businesses operating without proper licenses. Authorities conducted inspections targeting unauthorized commercial activities that were allegedly functioning outside established licensing requirements.

Officials have emphasized that enforcement drives will continue in the coming weeks as part of broader efforts to address illegal construction, prevent misuse of properties, and strengthen adherence to municipal regulations throughout Delhi
