Nationwide Performance Records Slight Decline

According to figures released by the board, 17,80,365 students had registered for the Class 12 examinations conducted across India and overseas centres. Of these, 17,68,968 students appeared for the exams, while 15,07,109 candidates passed successfully.

The latest result data reflects a decrease of 3.19 percentage points in the overall pass percentage. Despite the dip, a significant number of students qualified for higher education admissions and competitive entrance processes.

Girls Continue to Lead Overall Results

As seen in previous years, girl students once again secured better results than boys in the Class 12 examinations. The difference in pass percentage between girls and boys stood at 6.73 percentage points.

The board maintained its decision not to release a topper list. CBSE officials have continued this policy to discourage unhealthy academic pressure and excessive competition among students.

Trivandrum Achieves Highest Regional Success Rate

Among all CBSE regions, Trivandrum recorded the best performance with an impressive pass percentage of 95.62%. In contrast, Prayagraj registered the lowest regional result at 72.43%.

The regional statistics highlight considerable variation in performance levels across different parts of the country. Education experts often attribute such differences to factors including access to resources, academic support systems, and local educational infrastructure.

Multiple Platforms Enabled for Result Access

Students can access their digital marksheets and certificates through several official platforms introduced by the board. These include the official CBSE website, the online results portal, DigiLocker, and the UMANG application.

In addition, CBSE has also provided SMS-based result access for students living in areas with unstable internet connectivity. The move is aimed at ensuring that students from all regions can check their scores without major difficulties.

Exams Conducted Across India and Overseas Centres

The Class 12 board examinations were held between February 17 and April 10 this year. The exams were conducted in a single daily shift from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm at centres located both in India and abroad.

The board had implemented standard examination procedures and monitoring systems to ensure smooth conduct throughout the examination period.

Foreign CBSE Schools Also Witness Performance Dip

The performance of students studying in foreign CBSE-affiliated schools also declined this year compared to the previous session. Official figures showed that 185 overseas schools and 115 examination centres participated in the examination process.

A total of 24,047 students registered from foreign schools, while 24,009 appeared for the examinations. Out of them, 21,728 students passed successfully, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 90.5%.

Last year, the pass percentage in foreign schools had reached 95.01%, indicating a decline of 4.51 percentage points this year.

Girls Outperform Boys in Overseas Schools Too

The trend of girls performing better than boys was also visible in foreign CBSE-affiliated institutions. Girls achieved a pass percentage of 92.23%, while boys recorded 88.69%.

The board has not announced any major changes regarding the result evaluation system and is expected to continue focusing on balanced academic assessment and student welfare measures in upcoming examination sessions.
