In his communication, Kumar referred to claims of a “cash-for-ticket” practice and questioned how funds collected for disaster relief in Kerala have been managed.
Allegations Linked to Party Ticket Distribution
Kumar’s letter draws attention to an FIR registered at North Avenue police station in Delhi, which reportedly mentions accusations of money being taken in exchange for Assembly election tickets. According to the CPI leader, individuals occupying influential positions within the Congress structure have been named in connection with the matter.
He specifically mentioned senior party figures such as K C Venugopal and K Suresh. Additionally, he referred to Sahab Ahmad Khan, who is associated with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Anas Ali, linked to Venugopal. Kumar emphasized that these individuals are not minor functionaries but are widely seen as part of the party’s core decision-making circle.
