Police Register Attempted Murder Case

The accused has been identified as Bande Nawaz, also 18 years old. According to preliminary police findings, he had earlier been in a relationship with Nandini and was reportedly distressed over her marriage.

Investigators said Nawaz allegedly entered her residence and attacked her with a sharp weapon. The woman sustained injuries to her neck, hands, ribs and thighs during the assault. Police said the accused later allegedly injured himself in the neck.

Both Undergoing Medical Treatment

Nandini was rushed to Manipal Hospital, where she is receiving treatment. Nawaz was admitted to Vydehi Hospital for medical care following the alleged self-inflicted injury.

Police have registered a case of attempted murder under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Officers are collecting statements and examining other evidence to establish the sequence of events and the motive behind the attack.

Separate Triple Murder Case Under Investigation

In another Bengaluru case reported last month, three members of a family were allegedly stabbed to death at an apartment in Seeganahalli, within the limits of the KR Puram police station.

The victims were identified as Soma Sundar, 52, Muthu Laxmi, 48, and Supriya, 19. Police said the suspect in the case was believed to have been living with the elder daughter of the family for around two months before the incident.

Argument Suspected Before Fatal Attack

According to initial information shared by police, the three victims had gone to the suspect’s apartment on a Monday evening. Investigators believe an argument may have taken place inside the flat before the alleged attack.

The suspect is accused of stabbing all three victims multiple times. However, police have said that the precise reason for the confrontation and the alleged killings has not yet been confirmed.

Search Teams Formed to Trace Suspect

The accused in the KR Puram case left the area after the incident and remains untraced. Police have formed multiple teams to locate and arrest him.

Investigators are also examining the relationship between the suspect and the victims’ elder daughter, along with other circumstances surrounding the case. Officials said further details are expected after the suspect is taken into custody and questioning is completed.
