Andhra tax release development

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for approving the early release of an additional Central tax devolution instalment worth ₹4,597 crore for Andhra Pradesh. According to the Chief Minister, the financial assistance arrives ahead of the regular schedule and is expected to provide timely support for the state’s development priorities. He shared his gratitude through a post on the social media platform X, describing the decision as an important step that would benefit Andhra Pradesh’s administrative and development efforts.

Advance Release Expected to Improve Project Progress

The Chief Minister noted that tax devolution payments from the Centre are generally released around the 10th of every month. However, this time the Central government decided to release the funds earlier than usual while also providing an additional allocation. He said the advance transfer would enable the state government to continue work on key public projects without unnecessary financial delays.

Naidu explained that timely availability of funds is essential for maintaining the pace of infrastructure development, welfare programmes, and other public initiatives undertaken by the state administration. He added that access to these resources at an earlier stage would help departments plan and execute projects more efficiently.

Financial Assistance to Support State Finances

Highlighting the importance of the allocation, the Chief Minister said the additional ₹4,597 crore would contribute to improving Andhra Pradesh’s financial position. He stated that stronger cash flow allows the government to manage expenditures more effectively while ensuring that ongoing projects receive the resources required for uninterrupted implementation.

He also pointed out that stable financial support helps create confidence in the state’s planning process and enables authorities to focus on development activities without facing avoidable funding constraints. According to Naidu, the early release of tax devolution is expected to have a positive impact on multiple sectors linked to public development.

Centre-State Cooperation Highlighted

In his message, Naidu emphasized the significance of continued cooperation between the Central and state governments. He said the support extended by the Union government has played an important role in advancing Andhra Pradesh’s development agenda and maintaining the momentum of growth initiatives.

The Chief Minister acknowledged the contribution of both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in ensuring that the financial assistance reached the state ahead of schedule. He remarked that such coordinated efforts strengthen governance and help accelerate development across different regions of Andhra Pradesh.

Focus on Long-Term Growth

Naidu further observed that timely financial support is an important factor in sustaining long-term economic progress. He said the state’s development objectives depend on effective coordination, prudent financial management, and continued institutional support. The advance release of Central tax devolution, he noted, reflects a constructive approach toward supporting state-level development requirements.

With the additional funds now available, the Andhra Pradesh government expects to maintain the momentum of its ongoing programmes while continuing to focus on infrastructure, public services, and overall economic growth. The Chief Minister reiterated that cooperation between the Centre and the state remains an important foundation for achieving future development goals.
