Authorities have constituted a Special Investigation Team under the leadership of senior police official Sudheer Babu to look into the case. The team has been instructed to complete its inquiry and submit a charge sheet within three months. The case has drawn attention due to the involvement of prominent political figures, including a sitting Member of Parliament and a former legislator.
