Cybersecurity – Israel has confirmed the killing of Muhammad Odeh, a senior Hamas commander accused of playing a major role in the October 7 attacks. The announcement came as Israeli forces intensified military operations in both Gaza and southern Lebanon amid rising regional tensions.
Israeli officials said the operation was conducted under the direction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Odeh had recently taken charge of Hamas’s military wing after the death of Ezzedine al-Haddad in an earlier Israeli strike in Gaza.
Authorities in Israel described Odeh as one of the key figures linked to the October 7 assault, which triggered the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. Officials alleged that he previously headed Hamas intelligence operations and was involved in planning attacks that resulted in the deaths, injuries, and abductions of Israeli civilians and soldiers.
