Zanai accompanied her message with an image from the funeral procession held in Mumbai. The photograph captured the solemn atmosphere as Asha Bhosle’s mortal remains were placed on a flower-decorated bier, draped in the Indian tricolour, symbolizing the nation’s respect for her unparalleled contribution to music.

The final rites drew a significant number of prominent personalities from the film and music industry. Several well-known figures, including actors and filmmakers, gathered to pay their last respects, reflecting the profound influence she had across generations.

Following the announcement of her demise on April 12, many members of the entertainment fraternity visited her residence to offer condolences. The funeral procession held the next day saw the presence of leading Bollywood personalities such as Aamir Khan, Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Vicky Kaushal, among others.

Their presence highlighted the widespread admiration for Asha Bhosle, whose career spanned decades and whose voice became synonymous with countless memorable songs in Indian cinema.

Health complications led to her passing

According to family updates, the singer had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on April 11 due to severe exhaustion and a chest infection. Despite medical care, her condition worsened, leading to multiple organ failure the following day.

The news of her passing quickly spread, prompting tributes from fans and public figures alike, many of whom described her as an irreplaceable figure in Indian music history.
