Playground – Tejasswi Prakash Says AI Cannot Replace Human Creativity

Playground – Actress Tejasswi Prakash has shared her views on the growing use of artificial intelligence in entertainment, saying technology may assist creative work but cannot replace the human element behind genuine art. The actress made the remarks while promoting the fifth season of the gaming reality show Playground.

Tejaswi prakash ai human creativity

Tejasswi was in Mumbai for the promotional activities of the show, where she spoke with IANS alongside fellow participants Elvish Yadav and Aarush Bhola. The discussion touched on the increasing influence of technology, algorithms and digital marketing in shaping modern entertainment.

Technology Can Support, But Not Replace Art

With artificial intelligence becoming increasingly common across the entertainment industry, Tejasswi was asked whether technology could eventually affect the emotional and creative essence of art.

The actress disagreed with the idea that AI could completely take the place of human creativity. She pointed out that while technology can contribute to entertainment in several ways, genuine artistic expression remains closely connected to human involvement.

Playground itself incorporates an AI-based concept as part of its format. However, Tejasswi made it clear that the presence of AI in the show does not mean that the technology could take over responsibilities that require human understanding and judgment.

According to the actress, AI may become a useful addition to visual entertainment, particularly when it comes to improving or enhancing certain aspects of content. At the same time, she believes there are clear limits to what technology can replace.

Tejasswi Praises Ektaa Kapoor’s Ability to Adapt

The actress also spoke about television producer Ektaa Kapoor and rejected the suggestion that her influence has declined because traditional daily soaps are no longer dominating the entertainment landscape as they once did.

Tejasswi described Ektaa Kapoor as a major figure in Indian television and praised her ability to understand changing audience preferences. She said that Ektaa has consistently adapted her approach according to developments in the entertainment industry.

The shift in viewing habits has seen reality-based programming gain considerable attention, while traditional television soaps have faced changing audience expectations. Ektaa Kapoor also entered the reality television space with Lock Upp, reflecting the changing dynamics of the industry.

Reality Shows Gain Ground Among Viewers

Tejasswi credited Ektaa’s business understanding and awareness of trends for her ability to remain relevant despite changes in the television landscape.

Her comments come at a time when reality shows, competition-based programmes and digital-first formats are attracting audiences across multiple platforms. The rise of streaming services has also created opportunities for formats that combine entertainment with gaming, social media and influencer culture.
