Karan Johar: Following Alia Bhatt, acknowledges that he is a fan of Yami Gautam after seeing “Haq.”
Karan Johar: The recent release of “Haq” by actress Yami Gautam has garnered a lot of attention for her grounded but impactful performance. Filmmaker Karan Johar joined the lengthy list of fans when he said that witnessing Shazia Bano’s courtroom win on TV made him cry.
KJo also laments “that i missed the opportunity of watching this exceptionally empowering film in the cinema.”
Karan also said on social media that it had been a while since he has been so affected by a performance.
The creator of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ praised Yami for her incredible performance on Instagram, writing, “It is still insufficient to state that @yamigautam is brilliant, exceptional, and pathbreaking. Her final speech, her looks, her silences, and her posture throughout the movie are all superb examples of her skill and passion. Kudos to her! (sic)
Applauding the ‘Haq’ director, Karan commented, “@suparnverma directs the film with such an assured hand… never letting theatrics overpower the emotion and always making the strength of the characters shine with strong silences …he has directed a Brilliant film….”
“Haq” is Emraan Hashmi’s greatest performance to date, according to KJo.
