IPL2026 – Preity Zinta Thanks Punjab Kings fans, after a challenging season.

Preity Zinta acknowledged the unwavering support of Punjab Kings followers following the team’s exit from IPL 2026. Sharing her message on social media platform X, the actor said the season had been an emotional journey filled with memorable highs and difficult moments, made more meaningful because of the encouragement received from fans throughout the tournament.

The Punjab Kings entered the season carrying strong expectations after finishing as runners-up in the previous edition of the Indian Premier League. The team enjoyed a dominant start and quickly emerged as one of the strongest contenders in the competition. Their impressive momentum saw them register six consecutive victories during the opening phase of the tournament, placing them at the top of the points table for a considerable period.

Punjab Kings Miss Playoff Spot by Narrow Margin

Despite a commanding beginning, Punjab Kings struggled to maintain consistency in the latter half of the season. The side eventually finished fifth in the standings with 15 points, falling just one point short of securing a playoff berth. The narrow miss disappointed supporters who had hoped the franchise would build on last year’s successful campaign.

In her message to fans, Preity Zinta thanked supporters for remaining loyal through every stage of the tournament. She noted that the journey felt more special because of the affection and faith shown by fans during both victories and setbacks. Her statement quickly gained attention online, with many cricket followers responding positively to her emotional note.

Punjab Kings have continued to attract a dedicated fan base over the years, and the franchise’s energetic performances this season once again kept supporters engaged throughout the tournament. Although the team failed to progress further, analysts believe the squad displayed enough promise to remain a strong contender in future editions of the league.

Preity Zinta Focuses on Upcoming Film Projects

Away from cricket, Preity Zinta is also preparing for her return to the big screen with multiple film projects scheduled for release. The actor will next appear in the action-comedy film “Vibe,” where she stars alongside actor and filmmaker Kunal Kemmu.

The movie is being produced under the banner of Drongo Films by Kunal Kemmu and Chirag Nihalani. Industry sources expect the film to release in theatres on September 18 this year. The project also marks the debut production venture for the studio.

Along with Preity and Kunal, the cast includes Sparsh Shrivastava in a significant role, while newcomer Vanshika Dhir is also set to make her appearance in the film. According to the makers, “Vibe” revolves around two close friends whose ordinary lives unexpectedly transform into a chaotic and thrilling journey. The storyline blends humour, action, and emotional moments while exploring friendship under extreme circumstances.

Historical Drama “Lahore 1947” Also in Pipeline

In addition to “Vibe,” Preity Zinta is part of the much-anticipated historical drama “Lahore 1947.” Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film features Sunny Deol in the lead role. The ensemble cast also includes Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Abhimanyu Singh in important characters.

The film is backed by actor and producer Aamir Khan and is based on the turbulent period surrounding the partition of India. The project has generated significant attention because of its historical backdrop and the combination of experienced performers associated with it.

With both her sports franchise involvement and upcoming film releases keeping her in the spotlight, Preity Zinta continues to maintain a strong connection with audiences across entertainment and cricket circles.
