 FamilyValues –  Kunal Kemmu has shared how he and his wife, Soha Ali Khan, have chosen to raise their daughter, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu, by embracing the traditions and values of both sides of their family. The actor said they have always relied on their own judgment while making parenting decisions instead of worrying about public expectations. According to Kunal, the couple believes that giving their daughter the opportunity to experience different cultures and festivals helps her grow with respect for diversity and family values.

Parenting Guided by Personal Beliefs

Speaking about their journey as parents, Kunal explained that both he and Soha have approached every stage of raising Inaaya with confidence in their instincts. He said their daughter will turn nine this year, and over the years they have learned to make decisions based on what they genuinely believe is best for her rather than following social pressure or outside opinions.

The actor noted that having a partner who shares a similar outlook has made parenting smoother. He said both he and Soha naturally trust their judgment and have always worked together while making important choices concerning their daughter’s upbringing.

Public Opinion Never Influenced Their Decisions

Kunal acknowledged that people often have different views on how children should be raised. While some appreciated their parenting style, others questioned certain choices. However, he emphasized that such reactions never influenced their decisions.

According to him, every family has its own way of living, and parents should feel comfortable making choices that suit their household. He added that seeking approval from society has never been a priority for either of them, as they prefer to focus on creating a healthy and supportive environment for their daughter.

Respecting Each Other’s Parenting Style

The actor also spoke about the mutual respect he and Soha have for each other’s role as parents. He explained that neither of them tries to make decisions simply because they might appear socially acceptable. Instead, each parent contributes according to their own understanding while respecting the other’s perspective.

Kunal said that successful parenting is built on trust and cooperation rather than trying to satisfy outside expectations. He believes that every parent must make thoughtful decisions based on the needs of their own child.

Everyday Differences Strengthen Their Bond

Like many couples, Kunal admitted that he and Soha occasionally have different opinions about parenting. He shared that there are moments when one of them feels a particular rule is unnecessary, while the other believes it is important.

Using a light-hearted example, he revealed that Soha sometimes asks him not to give Inaaya ice cream, but he occasionally treats her when he feels the timing is right. He laughed that such small disagreements are a normal part of family life and never become major issues.

Celebrating Every Festival Together

Kunal Kemmu and Soha Ali Khan married in January 2015 after being in a long-term relationship. They welcomed their daughter, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu, in September 2017.

Coming from different religious backgrounds, the couple has chosen to celebrate festivals from both traditions with equal enthusiasm. While Soha belongs to a Muslim family and Kunal comes from a Hindu family, they regularly observe occasions such as Eid, Diwali, Christmas, Mahashivratri, and several other celebrations together.

By involving Inaaya in these festivities, they hope she develops an appreciation for different customs, cultures, and beliefs. Their approach reflects a family environment where respect, inclusion, and shared experiences take precedence over religious differences.
