Fire Breaks Out at Sasaram Railway Station

The blaze reportedly started suddenly while the train was stationed at the platform in Sasaram. Witnesses at the railway station noticed thick smoke rising from one of the coaches before the flames rapidly spread through the compartment. Emergency response teams and railway staff immediately rushed to the scene to prevent the situation from worsening.

Firefighters arrived within a short time and launched an operation to control the flames. After sustained efforts, the fire was brought under control, although the coach suffered extensive damage and was almost completely destroyed.

No Casualties Reported in the Incident

Railway authorities stated that no passengers were inside the affected coach when the fire erupted. Officials from the Railway Protection Force confirmed that the compartment had been empty, which helped avoid a major tragedy.

Speaking to reporters, an RPF inspector said the incident involved the Sasaram-Patna Passenger train and clarified that the exact cause behind the fire had not yet been identified. According to officials, technical teams and railway investigators have started examining the damaged coach to determine how the blaze began.

The officer further noted that safety protocols were activated immediately after the fire was detected, allowing emergency teams to respond without delay.

Investigation Into Cause of Fire Continues

Railway authorities have launched a formal inquiry into the incident. Investigators are expected to inspect electrical systems, mechanical components, and other possible sources that may have triggered the fire inside the coach.

Officials have not ruled out any possibility so far and said a detailed report will be prepared after the examination is completed. Railway staff also inspected nearby coaches and station infrastructure to ensure there was no further danger to passengers or railway property.

Train services at the station were monitored carefully during the emergency operation to avoid disruption and maintain passenger safety.

Separate Fair Accident Raises Safety Concerns

In another incident reported recently from Bihar’s Sasaram area, several women and children were injured after a ride collapsed at a local amusement fair commonly referred to as a “Disneyland fair.” The accident took place on Friday and led to panic among visitors present at the venue.

Local authorities and emergency workers quickly shifted the injured individuals to Sadar Hospital in Sasaram for medical treatment. Hospital officials confirmed that multiple people were admitted with injuries following the collapse of the ride.

Dr. Manish Kumar, while speaking about the situation, said the injured victims were receiving treatment at the hospital. However, officials had not immediately released the confirmed number of people affected in the accident.

Authorities Expected to Review Safety Measures

The back-to-back incidents in Sasaram have once again drawn attention toward public safety standards related to transportation and entertainment facilities. Authorities are expected to review operational safety procedures and conduct investigations in both cases.

Officials have assured that appropriate action will be taken after the inquiries are completed. Meanwhile, railway operations at Sasaram station have returned to normal, and security personnel continue to monitor the area as part of precautionary measures.
